Bapatla (Andhra Pradesh) [India], March 10 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday urged people to vote cautiously in polls as voting for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu would jeopardise all welfare schemes in the state.
"I appeal to my campaigners that casting a vote for Chandra Babu Naidu would jeopardize all welfare schemes. The well-being of weaker sections will crumble, Janmabhoomi committees will reemerge, and the volunteer system will collapse. Government schools may shift to the private sector, and government hospitals could face closure, leaving room for private hospitals to exploit," he said.
Urging people to vote for him for the development of weaker sections, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "I didn't believe in alliances. I appeal to the voters to campaign about Jagan. Rs 11,000 crore are allocated for free electricity. Under subsidy, we spent 6400 crores. Under Vidya Devan Vasthi Devana, 5,000 crores were spent. Under Sampurna Poshana, 2,000 Crore were spent. Under Goru Mudha we spent 1,900 crores. No one can match the scale of these welfare schemes, totaling 52,700 crores."
He also urged the voters to vote for his party (YSCP), adding "The fan should be inside the house, the cycle outside (TDP symbol), and the tea glass (Jana Sena Party symbol) should shrink."
"We've achieved significant development and welfare for weaker sections. With your support, my goal is to secure 175/175 seats this time. I dream of enhancing educational reforms and agricultural technologies, ensuring that no SC, ST, BC individuals lag behind, transforming lives," he said.
"In the face of medical emergencies, no one should die or sell their properties for treatment. I'm not driven by greed for power; my focus is on using power for the development of weaker sections and bringing a smile to their faces. My aim is to leave a lasting impact in history and remain in the hearts of the public even after death, solely dedicated to the betterment of society," the Andhra Pradesh CM asserted. (ANI)
