Patna (Bihar) [India], October 25 (ANI): Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Union Cabinet Minister of Jal Shakti CR Patil on Saturday asserted that the people of Bihar are keen on the state's development and have not forgotten past misgovernance.
He further said that the people want to see the same government.
Speaking to reporters, Patil said, "All the voters of Bihar want the development of Bihar... The way they have seen the corruption-free government in Bihar under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, they want to see the same government... People of Bihar have not forgotten the 'Jungle Raj'. They remember what the situation was at that time."
Meanwhile, Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal launched a scathing attack on the opposition Mahagathbandhan, accusing it of resorting to spreading rumours and making false promises to mislead voters in the state.
Speaking to ANI, Jaiswal said that the opposition has left with no issues and has become "issueless."
The BJP leader said, "The opposition has become issue-less. Now, the opposition has nothing left but to spread rumours, make false promises, and somehow mislead the people and voters of Bihar. They are dreaming of coming to power, but the voters of Bihar have made up their minds."
Earlier today, BJP MP Ravi Kishan praised the NDA leadership, asserting that there is no difference between the words and actions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The BJP leader extended his warm greetings to the people of Bihar on the occasion of Chhath, wishing for the state's accelerated progress.
Speaking to ANI in Patna, Kishan said, "I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all the people of Bihar for Chhath. May Chhath Maa bless everyone... May the progress of Bihar increase by four times after 14th November... Whatever Nitish Kumar says, he will never lie. There is no difference between the words and actions of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar..."
Bihar will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14. (ANI)
