Nawada (Bihar) [India], November 5 (ANI): Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday appealed to the people of Bihar to come out in large numbers to cast their votes, urging them to vote for employment opportunities and to support the youth leadership of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav ahead of the Assembly elections.
Addressing a public rally in Nawada, the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, "I would like to urge the people of Bihar to go out, vote in large numbers, vote for jobs and to support the new generation Tejashwi."
He emphasised the importance of youth participation in shaping the state's future and urged citizens to make informed choices in the upcoming elections.
Reacting to Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's recent claims regarding vote manipulation during Haryana elections, Yadav remarked, "This is nothing new. People need to safeguard their votes and ensure they cast them. In Bihar, people are also being instructed to stay home and refrain from voting. This approach was used in Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, people must protect their vote and ensure it is counted."
Slamming Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his campaign in Bihar, the SP Chief alleged that the BJP leader spreads falsehoods and fails to deliver on promises.
Yadav said, "Don't trust Yogi. Despite being a Yogi, he lies about everything. Today, the wealth of the top 1% has increased by 62%. Those who cannot afford to pay farmers' wages and provide jobs to youth come here to seek votes? They just lost in UP, where people rejected them. First, they lost in Awadh, and now Magadh will do the same. The public is accepting the new Tejashwi."
Highlighting the potential for change in Bihar, Yadav urged the electorate to support Tejashwi Yadav for positive transformation, particularly in employment and youth empowerment.
He criticised the BJP for ending laptop distribution for students, alleged corruption, and failing to eliminate corruption through demonetization.
Yadav also highlighted the SP's past achievements in governance, including improvements in law and order and police modernisation, calling for support to ensure a better future for Bihar, with a focus on youth and women's empowerment. (ANI)
