Vizag to host three-day international seafood festival from today
Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Sept. 23 (ANI): The port city of Visakhapatnam will host a three-day International Seafood show here from Friday. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the event, which will see the participation of 2,000 delegates from India, besides 200 from abroad. They will hold group discussions and technical sessions to share their experiences. The event will lay stress on 'safe and sustainable Indian aquaculture' and to highlight the technological advances and sustainable practices followed in capture and culture fisheries, and ensure quality of seafood produced for both domestic and export markets. The focus of the biennial event will be on diversification of species, quality control, value-addition and augmenting of infrastructure to improve exports. The show will be thrown open to the public on September 25. Union Urban Development Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu and Union Minister of State for Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman will also grace the event.
