New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): Calling the Union Budget "visionary," Union Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday said that the Budget is for inclusive growth, sustainable development and economic resilience.
Addressing the Rajya Sabha on the budget discussion, Union Minister JP Nadda said, "This budget is for inclusive growth, sustainable development and economic resilience. In times, when the economy of major economic powers in the world is shaking, if India is performing well after the Covid-19 era, then it is only due to its economic resilience. This budget is a visionary budget that fulfils both the immediate needs and long-term goals through a robust framework. This is a 360-degree impactful budget. It's a comprehensive budget and is dedicated to economic and social development."
Highlighting the priorities of the budget, Nadda said, "Infrastructural development, strengthening logistics, technological innovations and social welfare is the priority of this budget along with fulfilling the goal of Viksit Bharat. This budget is a forward-looking budget that will accelerate the growth policies, create jobs and enhance India as a global hub for start-ups."
Adding it to further, he said, "Whenever we create a budget, whether it is of a nation, state, municipal corporation or family, we put emphasis on three points, which are income, expenditure and leakage between the income and expenditure. The quality of life depends on the income, as larger the income, larger the quality of life."
Meanwhile, he also congratulated PM Modi for the third term and said, "While discussing this budget, I want to congratulate PM Modi for being elected as the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term. 60 years ago, when Nehru Ji was PM, there was a euphoria of independence in the nation and opposition was way weaker than today. But today, PM Modi has been elected as the PM, that too with such opposition, which is a big deal. This is the mandate of stability, continuity, good governance, pro-poor policy and unfoldment of Vikshit Bharat. But some people in a consecutive third time, couldn't even get the 100 seats. The opposition's total is still less than BJP's total. They are 0 in 13 states, and in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, they could just manage 2 seats out of 64 seats." (ANI)
