Validate your claims, stop degrading govt., Gangwar to Kejriwal
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Nov. 12 (ANI): Minister of State for Finance Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Saturday urged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to stop degrading the demonetisation initiative of government and validate his claims. "Arvind Kejriwal is just trying to degrade this initiative taken by government, can he validate any of his claim," Gangwar told ANI. Gangwar said the opposition has nothing to say except criticising all of the Centre's scheme. Kejriwal on Saturday asserted that a few corporate houses were informed before hand about the radical decision to demonetize. "In the name of demonetisation, a huge scam is being played out. Before the Prime Minister Modi announced the move on Tuesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its friends had been alerted before and they had stashed their cash," Kejriwal said. He said that in last three months, thousands of crores of rupees have been deposited in the bank accounts of some people and corporate houses, adding that deposition of such large sums creates suspicions. In an 'X' post, TMC said the government has "ek hi naara, line mein rahe desh bechara," pointing to past governmental measures including demonetisation, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Special Identification Registration (SIR), and now the LPG shortage. The party described demonetisation as a "Tughlaqi farman" that forced ordinary citizens to wait in serpentine queues outside banks and ATMs for days to access their own money. The post also highlighted the 2020 COVID-19 oxygen crisis, when families stood in long lines outside hospitals and suppliers as the public health system collapsed.
