Gopalpur (Bihar) [India], October 21 (ANI): Vikassheel Insaan Party convenor Mukesh Sahani on Tuesday praised the party's Gopalpur candidate, describing him as a "valiant and grassroots leader."
He said that a change in Bihar and Mahagathbandhan's victory in the state elections is "inevitable".
Sharing a post on 'X', Sahani hailed Mahagathbandhan's candidate from the Gopalpur constituency and mentioned that the region's people are well acquainted with his struggles, dedication, and honest image.
"Shri Prem Sagar Ji, the valiant and grassroots leader of the Vikassheel Insaan Party, has filed his nomination from the 153, Gopalpur Assembly Constituency on behalf of the Mahagathbandhan. Prem Sagar Ji, who has always steadfastly championed the fight for the rights and entitlements of the people, has consistently pursued the politics of development, dignity, and justice. The people of Gopalpur are well acquainted with his struggles, dedication, and honest image," Sahani wrote on 'X'.
He stated that the people of Gopalpur are confident towards standing in favour of concrete development and reliable leadership.
"We are fully confident that this time, the people of Gopalpur will stand firmly in favour of concrete development and reliable leadership, and will ensure a historic victory for Shri Prem Sagar Ji. Change is inevitable, victory is assured," he said.
Meanwhile, Mukesh Sahani on Tuesday refuted claims that his party's candidate from the Tarapur Assembly Constituency had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He clarified that Sakaldeo Bind, the individual in question, had previously contested as an independent and is not a VIP candidate, though he has now extended his support to the BJP.
This comes after, on October 20, Sakaldeo Bind, a VIP candidate from Tarapur, joined the BJP and offered his support to Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, who is also contesting from the same constituency.
"Our candidate has not joined the BJP; you are mistaken. They had contested as independent candidates and have supported the BJP. As you know, today we are in the Darbhanga district. Mahagathbandhan's candidate Umesh Sahani is contesting from Darbhanga Urban. We have come here today to attend the inauguration of his office and to wish him good luck. Our Mahagathbandhan leaders are present for this event, and with strength, the work that hasn't been done for the past 20 years is now going to bring about change," Mukesh Sahani told reporters.
