UP wants to get rid of family politics courtesy Akhilesh's failure:BSP
New Delhi [India], Oct. 15 (ANI): Launching a scathing attack on the Samaj Party a day after party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav kept suspense on the chief ministerial candidate, the Bhahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) on Saturday said the people of Uttar Pradesh want to get rid of family politics as Akhilesh Yadav-led government has miserably failed in delivering good governance. "See as Akhilesh Yadav has failed to provide governance in UP. He has become burden for Samajwadi Party and, therefore, they have rejected his face as the chief minister but the people of Uttar Pradesh are fed up with this fighting going on within the family," BSP leader Sudhindra Bhadoria told ANI. "We all know that Akhilesh Yadav has failed and so have the Samajwadi Party and Mulayam Singh. They have all together failed UP and, therefore, the people of Uttar Pradesh want to get rid of this family completely and bring Mayawati to power for good governance," he added. Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday said the party's chief ministerial candidate will be decided by elected party legislators after the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. "The chief ministerial candidate will be decided by the elected party legislators and parliamentary board. This is our job," he told media here when asked whether his son and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was still the chief ministerial candidate for the coming elections. The Samajwadi Party president's assertion comes at a time when there is growing friction within his party fold following the fallout between his son and his brother Shivpal Yadav. Akhilesh has often been on collision course with his uncle Shivpal over selection of candidates, approach to elections and alliances. The feud had spilled into the open after Akhilesh stripped Shivpal of key ministerial portfolios on September 13, hours after Mulayam replaced him with his uncle as the party's state unit chief. Moreover, the merger of the Quami Ekta Dal (QED) with the Samajwadi Party which had Shivpal's backing did not go well with Akhilesh. (ANI)
