UP should not suffer because of SP's internal rift: Rajnath Singh
Kairana (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Nov. 7(ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said the people of Uttar Pradesh should not suffer because of the internal rift within the Samajwadi Party. "The people of Uttar Pradesh shouldn't suffer because of your(SP's) internal rift. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first one's who was concerned about the villages of India. Our opponents were not able to put a single blame relating to corruption on our central government," Singh said at addressing a public meeting here. The internal rift between Samajwadi Party leaders surfaced again on November 5 at the party's silver jubilee celebrations in Lucknow. Senior party leaders Shivpal Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav made veiled attacks on each other while addressing the people at the event. Singh asserted that once the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power in this politically crucial state, the payment to sugarcane traders would be done in six months. This State Advised Price (SAP), which sugar mills have to pay has not been revised in three years due to the bad economic health of mills, following a sharp decline in sugar prices. However, state elections are nearing and the Samajwadi Party government needs cane farmer votes.(ANI)
