UP polls: Akhilesh takes on Shivpal in his bastion
By Ayushman Kumar Etawah (UP) [India], Feb. 16 (ANI): Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday went all out against his estranged uncle Shivpal Yadav alleging that he tried to create a rift between him and Mulayam Singh Yadav. " People whom I believed, they tried to create a rift between me and Netaji", Akhilesh said. "I have heard there are conspiracies being hatched to defeat our party's candidates" he added. In his 20-minute long speech, though, Akhilesh refrained from naming Shivpal, but didn't mince his words in attacking him. "Those who were trying to take away the cycle from us, are without cycle today," he said. Speaking at a public meeting in Shivpal's bastion, Etawah, Akhilesh vented his ire on the former for using tricks to defeat Samajwadi Party's candidate in the area. "Those who tried to create a void between me and Netaji, people of Etaawa would teach them a lesson," Akhilesh said. Mocking Shivpal's claims of forming a new party, Akhilesh said the accusation of forming a new political outfit was alwys levelled against him. "I have heard that there is a new party being formed here, but this allegation was always levelled against me," he said. Akhilesh, who mostly targets Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP in his speeches, today changed the track and attacked Shivpal.(ANI)
