UP: Lightning kills nine, CM Yogi announces ex-gratia

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 23 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs. four lakhs each to the families of the nine deceased, killed due to lightning in different parts of the state.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 23 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs. four lakhs each to the families of the nine deceased, killed due to lightning in different parts of the state. Adityanath expressed condolences over the deaths and directed the District Administration to distribute the compensation amount to the families of the victims. At least nine people were killed in Mirzapur's Dikshitpur village due to lightning. A couple was reportedly killed similarly in Mahamalpur village in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur district. Five other persons were killed by the lightning in Chunar Tehsil of Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur district. (ANI)
