UP elections: 39 percent voter turnout recorded till 1 p.m.

Agra (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Feb. 11 (ANI): Around 39.43 percent voting was recorded on Saturday in the first phase of Uttar Pradesh elections till 1 p.m.

UP elections: 39 percent voter turnout recorded till 1 p.m.
Agra (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Feb. 11 (ANI): Around 39.43 percent voting was recorded on Saturday in the first phase of Uttar Pradesh elections till 1 p.m. On the one hand, where Muzaffarnagar recorded 42 percent voting, Shamli saw 46% voting. Agra witnesses 39.19 percent voting, whereas its neighbour, Firozabad saw 41.8 percent voting. 38.14 percent voting was recorded in Aligarh. The election process will be held in 73 assembly constituencies spread across 15 districts of the state. The most populous state of the country will today vote for 839 candidates at 26,823 polling stations. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for smooth polling, especially in sensitive areas of Shamli, Aligarh, Muzaffarnagar, Mathura, Bulandshahr and Agra. (ANI)
