Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 21 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Monday hit out at Samajawadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleging that he was responsible for inciting riots in state during the program in Shahabad town of Hardoi district.
He also accused the SP leader of being the leader of all goons, criminals & mafias
The Deputy CM said that Akhilesh Yadav has no right to speak on incidents of violence, as his government had failed to maintain law and order.
"Akhilesh Yadav lacks the moral authority to comment on riots in Uttar Pradesh, as his tenure has been marred by constant communal violence. It's unbecoming of him to speak on the issue, especially when his own government has failed to maintain law and order. While the government claims to be ready to take action against criminals and rioters, Yadav's actions suggest otherwise. It seems he's more concerned about maintaining his party's ties with criminals and mafia, who will eventually desert the SP, leading to its downfall," he said.
When asked about the on Ram Gopal Yadav's statement, Keshav Prasad Maurya said that Samajwadi party claims of winning election failed numerous times, and he termed 'baseless' on opposition allegation on threat to constitution, minorities groups.
"Ram Gopal Yadav claims Samajwadi Party will win the election decisively, citing BJP's unfulfilled claims since 2014. He points out SP's past claims failed in 2014, 2017, and 2019, despite an alliance with BSP. In 2022, SP's prediction of winning 400 seats was far off. Yadav argues BJP's lies were exposed in Haryana, and their claims about threats to the constitution, reservation, and vulnerable groups are baseless. None of the things are there, we are party of 'Sabka sath and Sabka vikas'...hence everyone is respected, everyone is getting rights, their (SP) restlessness increased after the BJP win in Haryana.. their lies were exposed."
Earlier in day, SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav on Uttar Pradesh by-election, said "It will be a one-sided election. Samajwadi Party will win with a huge majority. BJP candidates will have their deposits forfeited in all seats." (ANI)
