Indian Railways is actively enhancing its safety and operational efficiency through the deployment of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) devices and smart monitoring systems.

The Ministry of Railways has implemented a multi-pronged strategy to enhance freight efficiency, ensure seamless regional connectivity, and provide robust first-and-last-mile solutions. Key initiatives include the launch of the 'Rail Parcel' app-based logistics platform on a pilot basis, the expansion of the Joint Parcel Product - Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS), and significant investment in terminal infrastructure across the country.

In his letter, Odisha CM wrote, 'The incident cast an avoidable shadow on the image of Bengal, a land known for its culture, civility and respect for democratic institutions."

"He (Farooq Abdullah) was attending a function. We were all with them. When we were departing from the function, a man came from behind, and he ran very fast and placed his revolver on the back of Doctor Sahib (Farooq Abdullah), and he fired, but his shot missed. The move comes in the backdrop of reports indicating public apprehension about a possible restriction in the supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the domestic market due to ongoing developments in West Asia.
