Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 27 (ANI): Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Sunday demanded from the Congress government to release a white paper on the financial situation in Telangana.
G Kishan Reddy said, "When in 2014 when Andhra Pradesh was divided and Telangana was formed, that time the budget of Telangana was in surplus and economic condition was good. People thought there will be fast development but the first govt that came to power BRS, did corruption and looted the state. They introduced many schemes based on vote bank politics but none of the schemes were implemented properly."
He further said that the BRS took loans from various institutions but still the economic situation did not improve.
"The developmental activities that they carried out during that contractors were not paid. The poor students did not get the money of the scholarships. They did not pay the health insurance schemes of the hospitals," he further said.
He further said that the Congress assured six guarantees during the last Vidhan Sabha polls.
"During elections Congress assured that if they come to power, they will change the economic conditions. They gave 400 other assurances. No promise has been fulfilled yet. 50 percent of farmers' loans have been waived. Rs 15,000 for tenant farmers, Rs 12,000 for agricultural labours, Rs 2,500 monthly amount for women, Rs 4000 for unemployed youths, bike to school girls. It has been 10 months but none of the scheme has been implemented," he further said.
He further asked the Congress that how much interest and principal amount has been paid on the loans taken by the previous TRS government.
He further said, "Telangana CM Revanth Reddy is saying that he would take a loan of 1 lakh 50,000 crores for the beautification of Musi river. How will the Congress implement the six guarantees which they assured? How will they implement the welfare schemes that were there during the Telugu Desam Party rule. I demand on behalf of people of Telangana, a white paper must be published on the economic conditions of Telangana."
He further alleged that CM Revanth Reddy, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have back-stabbed the people of Telangana. (ANI)
