Agra (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 7 (ANI): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the nation has witnessed the emergence of a "new India - where unity transcends caste, religion, and language".
This came as CM Yogi and BJP National President JP Nadda laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 124 development projects worth about Rs 5200 crore in Agra.
Addressing the 'Scheduled Caste Mahasammelan', organised by the BJP scheduled Caste Morcha here today, CM Yogi praised PM Modi's efforts in uplifting the underprivileged citizens of the nation.
"Today, we pay homage to Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Honouring Baba Saheb signifies respecting the marginalised communities and upholding the Constitution," he emphasised.
Highlighting the party's commitment to societal welfare, the Uttar Pradesh CM said that in the past decade, under PM Modi's leadership, we have witnessed the emergence of a new India- an India where unity transcends caste, religion, and language.
"It's an India that aspires to integrate every village, poor person, farmer, youth and woman into the societal mainstream to empower them to lead dignified lives and forge ahead. It is not founded on caste, religion, or language. The guiding principle behind this endeavour is 'Sabka saath, Sabka Vikas', he said.
CM Yogi also pointed out that even those sections of society that were deprived of their rights since independence are experiencing a sense of inclusion and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi today.
Furthermore, he stressed that honouring Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar translates to upholding the values of the Constitution and the parliamentary system of India.
The UP CM credited PM Modi with the significant naming of the international airport in Ayodhya after Maharishi Valmiki.
CM Yogi also praised Modi's efforts in honouring the pioneers of social justice in the country and ensuring rights for the poor, Dalits, and marginalized communities.
He highlighted achievements such as providing housing, sanitation facilities, and improved healthcare for the underprivileged.
Furthermore, CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh, inspired by PM Modi, has doubled the scholarship amount for students from Scheduled Castes compared to 2016.
He underscored the collaborative efforts of the 'double engine government,' citing examples such as the establishment of a university in Azamgarh named after Maharaja Suheldev, and the restoration of the Maharaja Bijli Pasi Qila in Lucknow. (ANI)
