Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 13 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajiv Bindal on Friday said that with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as leader, India has become the fastest growing economy among the major economies of the world.
"Once again it has become clear that anything is possible with PM Modi. When there is a big recession going on around the whole world, India is playing the role of Vishwaguru," Bindal said.
He further said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF), based on its assessment, has predicted that the growth of the Indian economy will be 6.3 per cent in 2023-24. This is the embodiment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tireless hard work which is increasing India's international fame, he pointed.
"China will be in second place with a 5 per cent increase. Our economic growth rate will remain at this level next year, while China's may fall to 4.2 per cent. IMF chief economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas wrote in a blog that the global economy is limping. There is no question of speed. The Monetary Fund expects global GDP growth to be only 3 per cent in 2023. Now if we look at the world economy as a whole, it has not even touched the pre-Corona situation. India's GDP is currently around 3.75 trillion dollars," Bindal emphasized.
He said that India will become the engine of development for the world in the coming years adding the Central government has made changes in the mission mode in the last few years. Due to this, the ease of doing business has improved, he added.
Bindal acknowledged that India is a fast-growing economy amid turmoil in global economies. "It will soon become a 5 trillion-dollar economy. This will be possible because India has transformed disaster and difficult times into economic reforms. The present government is removing red tape and laying the red carpet. This has increased the options for doing business," he underlined.
He further highlighted that the central government has done the work of reserving 33 per cent of seats in the Lok Sabha and Assembly for women.
"This work was pending for 30-40 years, but our government has done this work for the betterment of women," he added. (ANI)
