Guwahati (Assam), Aug 22 (ANI): The United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) has kidnapped the son of a BJP leader from Assam and demanded a ransom of Rs. one crore. Kuldeep Moran, the son of Tinsukia Zila Parishad's vice-president Ratnaswer Moran, was abducted on August 1 from Nampong in Arunachal Pradesh, but the matter came to light today after a video surfaced where the ULFA militants are seen demanding a ransom. According to reports, the video footage was released by the anti-talk faction of ULFA on Monday. The video shows Kuldeep, surrounded by ULFA militants, pleading for his life and requesting the family and Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal to consider the seriousness of the matter and fulfill the demands of the rebels. Meanwhile, the Assam Police has begun a search operation to locate the27-year-old youth. (ANI)
