Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 19 (ANI): Tamil Nadu minister Tha Mo Anbarasan on Thursday said that Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, is likely to be announced as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu within the next 7 to 10 days.
"Udhayanidhi Stalin is likely to be announced as Deputy Chief Minister within 7-10 days or maybe even tomorrow," Anbarasan told reporters.
He further said that the party is planning the DMK Diamond Jubilee public meeting, which is scheduled for September 28.
"We are planning the DMK Diamond Jubilee public meet, which is scheduled on September 28, at Kanchipuram Pachayappa's College For Men Ground. The meeting will be led by CM. Alliance party members will attend, participate and address it. The public meeting will be coordinated by Kanchipuram South District and North District," Anbarasan said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin dismissed the speculation regarding his elevation as Deputy Chief Minister.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Udhayanidhi said that such decisions will be taken by the Chief Minister and asked the media to not do it on his behalf.
On the Deputy CM post, Udhayanidhi asked, "Who said like that?"
"CM will take the decision, and you don't take a decision on it. All ministers are and will be with CM. You have to ask the CM. It is totally CM's right to decide about it," he added. (ANI)
