Two Indians abducted in South Sudan released

New Delhi [India], Mar. 31 (ANI): External Affairs Ministers Sushma Swaraj on Friday informed that two Indian nationals, who were abducted earlier this month in South Sudan, have been released.

New Delhi [India], Mar. 31 (ANI): External Affairs Ministers Sushma Swaraj on Friday informed that two Indian nationals, who were abducted earlier this month in South Sudan, have been released. Earlier on March 8, Midhun Ganesh, 25, and A. Edward, 40, working for Dar Petroleum Production Company were abducted by the Sudan People's Liberation Army-In Opposition (SPLA-IO) when they were on field work. "I am happy to inform about the release of two Indian nationals Midhun and Edward who were abducted in South Sudan," Swaraj tweeted. The Centre's intervention came after Ajay Raja, Production Operator of the company, appealed to Swaraj to ensure their release. "Our 2 Indians kidnapped by criminals @SouthSudan while in field work since March 8, 17. @K6270096Midhun @J1100553Edward @SushmaSwaraj. Help mam (sic)," he tweeted. (ANI)
