Patna (Bihar) [India], May 13 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav on Monday provided clarification regarding his viral video where he can be seen allegedly pushing an RJD party worker and said he had to push the supporter aside to save himself due to his injured hand.
In the video, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tej Pratap Yadav could allegedly be seen pushing away a party worker from the stage during a celebration.
The incident happened on Monday when Tej Pratap Yadav and his sister Misa Bharti celebrated the latter's filing of nomination on a stage by waving to supporters. Misa Bharti filed the nomination from the Patlipura seat for the Lok Sabha elections.

"I want to tell those people who are making my video viral that there are two sides to a coin. On one side, you all have seen, while on the other, Dr Misa Bharti and my mother were there, and in between them, someone was pushing. My hand was already injured, and due to the sudden pain caused by their push, I was forced to push him aside to save myself. My intention was never to hurt anyone. The public's welfare is paramount to me, Respecting the honour and dignity of the public is our duty," Yadav said in a post on X.
Notably, polling in Bihar, which sends 40 members to the Lok Sabha, is being held across all seven phases. The counting of votes for all phases is scheduled for June 4.

Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal), INC (Indian National Congress), and RLSP (Rashtriya Lok Samta Party), only managed to secure one seat.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 22 seats. Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) won 6 seats. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won 4 seats. While the Indian National Congress (INC) managed to get only 2 seats. (ANI)
