TN: I-T raid at MLA hostel; room of Revenue Minister RB Udhaya Kumar searched

BJP MLA and West Bengal Assembly Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday expressed confidence that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) would be defeated in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

Earlier, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said that the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala are expected to set a benchmark for democratic practices, expressing confidence in the preparedness of the state's election machinery and cooperation from political parties.

The West Bengal government on Thursday provided officers of requisite seniority for being appointed as Returning Officers for the forthcoming Assembly Elections, on the insistence of the Election Commission of India.

Delhi police have alleged that Manish Sharma was the key conspirator behind the planning of the 'shirtless' protest at the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam on February 20. A Non-Bailable Warrant has also been issued against him.
