TMC says demonetisation has created financial emergency for masses
New Delhi[India], Nov. 16(ANI): The Trinamool Congress(TMC) on Wednesday said that the demonetisation of currency has created an economic and financial emergency for the common man. TMC leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay told ANI that his party was always against black money but it questions the implementation of the procedure adopted by the Narendra Modi- led NDA government. "Towards farmers and the downtrodden sections of society, exploitation has started and it has taken the shape of an economic and financial emergency," he said. "We demand the move to be rolled back and implement it with proper planning. No party has ever fought against black money like Trinamool Congress," he added. Fellow party member TMC leader Sukhendu Shekhar said, "She( Mamata Banerjee) came all the way from Kolkata to Delhi to address and communicate the situation faced by the common people." Bandyopadhyay said that the demonestisation decision was an unprepared and hasty decision where whole country is in trouble. On Monday, Prime Minister Modi had asked the people to keep patience for 50 more days even as they are having to bear with the immediate consequences of demonetisation that has scrapped old Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 notes. The opposition leaders from the Congress, Trinamool Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party, CPI-M, CPI, RSP, Natikonalist Congress Party, Janata Dal-United and Rastriya Janataa Dal met in Parliament House ahead of the all-party meet called by the government, and decided to raise voice against demonetisation in unison in Parliament.(ANI)
