Three more 'braid chopping' incidents reported from Delhi
New Delhi [India], Aug 4 (ANI): Three more cases of braid chopping were reported from Begumpur and Prashant Vihar areas in the national capital on Friday. A case was also registered in connection with the incident that took place in Delhi's Begumpur area. Earlier today, the Uttar Pradesh Police appealed people to not believe in rumours of braid cutting in the state and assured that the cases were being investigated. "It is our appeal to people to not to believe in rumours. The cases are being investigated by the police," Aligarh's Circle officer Tejveer Singh said. However, a victim said, "We are under trauma. The whole village is in panic mode." In another similar case, a woman in Delhi's Palam claimed to have become the victim of the hair chopping twice. She said that her hair was chopped off when she was on her way to the bank and again when she went to the washroom today. Earlier this week, three similar cases were reported where a woman and her three daughters have complained that their hair was cut mysteriously on Wednesday night. (ANI)
