Jashpur (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 9 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a public rally in poll-bound Chhattisgarh's Jashpur, targeted Congress-led Bhupesh Baghel government alleging them of scams">scams and corruptions
Shah alleged corruption in the cow dung scheme launched by the state government.
"This government of the Congress party is the government of scams">scams. Bhupesh Baghel did a scam in alcohol and coal. He did a scam in the rice that PM Modi sent. I have never seen someone in my life who did a scam on cow dung. He did a scam in that too," said Amit Shah.
Under the scheme, the state government procures cow dung at Rs 2 a kilo from the cattle-owning farmers and gives them to the women self-help groups (SHGs) to prepare bio-compost.
Speaking on the Mahadev App, a betting app embroiled in controversy, he said, "The Mahadev betting scam was also disclosed recently. Amit Shah also promised multiple perks and schemes in the state once the BJP forms government, which included allowances to women and farmers in the state and subsidies on gas cylinders.
Announcing his government's promises in the state, Amit Shah said that we have said in our manifesto that all those who have BPL cards will be provided Ayodhya Darshan one by one.
"We have decided that our government will buy 21 quintals of paddy per acre from rice farmers for Rs 3100. Our government will do the work of giving Rs 12,000 to mothers and sisters every year. We will do the work of providing houses to the 18 lakh people who are left. We will give a gas cylinder to every woman for just Rs 500," Amit Shah said.
