Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India] October 3 (ANI): Jharkhand BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo on Tuesday lashed out at the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for creating drama in the name of protests in Delhi.
"They have gathered at Delhi's Jantar Mantar to do all sorts of drama. Why did they divert the money from the Central Government given to MNREGA? The rural development ministry, again and again, reminded the state government that the money of the poor was being looted, but still, no action was taken by them". TMC did not even send a utility certificate on time." he said in a statement to the Press.
"Those who had multi-storeyed houses acquired houses of the poor. Everyone is aware of the scams in West Bengal, still, the party doesn't get away from corruption", he added.
Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari also called out the TMC and asserted that strict action will be taken against those who have looted people's money.
Suvendu Adhikari also alleged the ruling Trinamool Congress party's involvement in issuing fake job cards and called it the biggest scam after independence.
"1.30 lakh fake job cards have already been found by the concerned authority due to the link between Aadhaar and Job Cards. It was a big scam after independence. More than 5000-8000 crore rupees siphoned by the fake job card holders through the help of the TMC", he said in a statement.
Earlier, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that TMC is protesting in Delhi just to cover up their scams which is why it has sent its 'corrupt' MPs to Delhi. The Union Minister said, "Their (TMC) corrupt government duped the poor of their money under MGNREGA and allotted houses in the name of those who already had houses."
The Trinamool Congress leaders are holding a protest against the central govt in New Delhi and are seeking funds for MGNREGA and other schemes. (ANI)
