Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 29 (ANI): Launching a scathing attack at the INDIA bloc, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday said that the opposition alliance cannot "tolerate that a son of a poor mother" has become the Prime Minister of the country.
The remarks of the Uttarakhand CM came after a viral video purportedly shows derogatory remarks against PM Modi and his mother at an INDIA bloc event in Darbhanga.
"This misdeed is not only an insult to the Prime Minister but also a contempt for the glorious tradition of Bihar. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi should immediately apologise to the countrymen for this shameful act. The INDI alliance is unable to tolerate that the son of a poor mother became the Prime Minister of the country, and the public gave him a place in their hearts," Uttarakhand CM said.
"Inspired by their speeches, their workers are also using abusive language now. There is no place for such vile statements in political integrity," he added.
Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma also said that Congress and RJD have "crossed all limits of shamelessness."

"The indecent remarks made by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav on the late revered mother of PM Modi, from the stage, are highly condemnable. The country will never forgive Congress-RJD for this act. The leaders of the INDI alliance, including Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, are not able to digest how the son of a poor mother is the Prime Minister of the nation and the people of the country have placed him in their hearts," CM Sharma said.
BJP leader Krishna Singh Kallu also filed a complaint against the Congress leader for using abusive comments against PM Modi, calling for putting a stop to the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in the poll-bound state.
While the BJP accuses Congress of "lowering political standards" by making such remarks, Congress has hit back that the BJP is "raising 'irrelevant' issues to distract from the real ones. (ANI)
