"These five years are important for Rajasthan": Rajyavardhan Rathore after taking charge as cabinet minister

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], January 1 (ANI): Rajasthan Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Monday assumed charge as cabinet minister at the state Secretariat in Jaipur and said that the coming five years are very important for the state.
"It is the responsibility of the officers, employees and all of us to serve the people of Rajasthan. The Constitution also says that whatever responsibility you have, fulfil it properly... These five years are very important for Rajasthan," Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore told reporters on Monday.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Minister Jogaram Patel also took charge as a cabinet minister at the Secretariat in Jaipur.

"Our efforts will be to make a corruption-free, mafia-free Rajasthan with the mantra of 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vishwas'," he said.
The swearing-in ceremony of the Rajasthan state cabinet took place on Saturday at the Raj Bhavan in Jaipur, in which 22 ministers were inducted.
Twelve cabinet-rank ministers, five Ministers of State (MoS) with independent charge and five ministers of state took oath of office.
Rathore served as a commissioned officer in the Grenadiers regiment of the Indian Army before retiring in 2013 as a Colonel.
He served as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports from 2017 to 2019.
Rathore became the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Information and Broadcasting in 2018.
Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore became the first Indian post-independence to win an individual silver at the Olympics when he stood on the podium for the men's double trap shooting at Athens 2004.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Rathore won the Jaipur Rural seat by defeating Congress heavyweight Dr CP Joshi by a huge margin of 3,32,896 votes.
Madan Dilawar, Gajendra Singh Khinvasar, Babulal Kharadi, Jogaram Patel, Suresh Rawat, Avinash Gehlot, Joraram Kumawat, Hemant Meena, Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary, and Sumit Godara were also sworn in as Cabinet ministers during the oath-taking ceremony on Saturday.
Earlier, on December 15, Bhajanlal Sharma took the oath as Rajasthan Chief Minister. Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers.
BJP won 115 seats in the assembly polls and the Congress came a distant second with 69 seats. Rajasthan went to the polls for 199 of the 200 assembly seats on November 25. (ANI)
