"These days there is investigation going on who ate the samosa?'": JP Nadda takes dig at Congress Govt in Himachal

"There is only one way the whole INDI Alliance works. In Telangana, they said they would provide free electricity, but the power went off. In Himachal, they said that unemployment allowance will be given to unemployed youth, they will provide jobs and corruption will be ended. But these days there is an investigation going on as to 'Who ate the samosa?" Nadda said, mocking the opposition for failing to deliver on their electoral promises.

Ramgarh (Jharkhand) [India], November 9 (ANI): Union Health Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda on Saturday slammed the opposition for failing to deliver on their electoral promises but investigating trivial matters like "who ate the samosa," taking a dig at the recent samosa row that took place in Congress ruled Himachal Pradesh.
His remarks came following a recent controversy surrounding the Samosa that was to be served to Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu and allegedly went "missing" and subsequently has become the subject of much discussion. The case of the 'missing samosas' is now being allegedly investigated by the CID wing of the state police.
Nadda made this remark while he was addressing a rally in Ramgarh.
"There is only one way the whole INDI Alliance works. In Telangana, they said they would provide free electricity, but the power went off. In Himachal, he said that unemployment allowance will be given to unemployed youth, they will provide jobs and corruption will be ended. But these days there is an investigation going on as to 'Who ate the samosa?" Nadda said, mocking the opposition for failing to deliver on their electoral promises.
The BJP National President also spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "special love" for Jharkhand, pointing to various welfare schemes launched in the state.
"Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a special love for Jharkhand. Ayushman Bharat Yojana was started in Ranchi, Mudra Yojana was started in Dumka, PM Janman Yojana was started in the village of Lord Birsa Munda and Vikasit Bharat Yatra also started here in Jharkhand," Nadda said, emphasising the government's focus on the state's development.
Nadda outlined what he referred to as Modi's "5G approach" for governance, which includes "good governance," "goodwill," "guarantee to deliver," Garib Kalyan (welfare of the poor)," and lastly "growth."
Nadda also made a strong statement on rooting out Naxalism in Jharkhand, accusing the current Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress government under Chief Minister Hemant Soren of allowing it to flourish.
"We will root out the naxalism that has grown and flourished here during the rule of Hemant Soren. There will be no compromise with Naxalism," Nadda said.
Earlier, Nadda, in a fiery address in Palamu, blamed the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress coalition government for the Bangladeshi infiltrators in the state and declared that the BJP would take strict action against illegal immigrants.
"Every Bangladeshi will be thrown out of Jharkhand and along with that the way they marry tribal sisters and want rights on their tribal land, the children born from them will not be given any tribal rights." said the BJP National President.
He described the JMM-Congress government as "deceitful" and a "government of liars and thieves."
The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23.
In the 2019 Assembly elections, the JMM won 30 seats, the BJP won 25, and the Congress won 16. (ANI)
