New Delhi [India], September 2 (ANI): BJP Haryana state president Mohan Lal Badoli commented on the ongoing preparations to choose the candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections on Monday. He said that suggestions from every level of the party is being taken, after which the central leadership will be taking a decision.
While speaking to journalists, he said,"There was a long list, everyone is being surveyed. Feedback is being taken from below. After that, the central leadership will make the final decision."
Earlier on Monday, former Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leaders Devender Singh Babli, Sunil Sangwan, Sanjay Kablana also joined the BJP. They were welcomed by the National General Secretary of BJP, Arun Singh and Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli in a press conference today.
When asked whether Devender Babli will be contesting the election, Mohan Lal Badoli said that the party does not induct people based on giving them a ticket, first the person joins the party then there are deliberations on whether the person will be contesting the elections or not.
After joining the BJP, Devender Singh Babli said that he is feeling proud of getting a chance to work under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that another term for the BJP government in Haryana is imminent.
"Today I am feeling very proud that I will get a chance to work under the leadership and vision of PM Modi. The coming time is for the BJP party...We have formed a government (at the Centre) and in the upcoming time with hard work, we will form a government in Haryana...We will make aware of the work done by the party, to the public and will form the government with majority.", said Babli.
The BJP Central Election Committee (CEC) has already finalised 55 candidates for the Haryana Assembly in a meeting on August 29. However, the BJP is set to announce the names of its candidates gradually rather than all at once.
The elections in Haryana will be held in a single phase on October 5 and the counting of votes will happen on October 8. (ANI)
