The Great Indian Food Festival
By Vinamrata Takia New Delhi [India], Nov. 9 (ANI): Delhi loves to eat! Either it's about the fancy restaurants or the street food; the food festivals around the city are well awaited by food lovers. Recently the Delhi Haat at Pitampura hosted the 'Great Indian Food Festival' where different food items were showcased. The fare included items such as chicken kebabs, Nahri, Biryani, Gulab Jamun and many more delicacies. In the 'Feel in Punjab' section, popular vegetarian items such as makkey di roti and sarso da saag and non-vegetarian food items like butter chicken and tandoori chicken were showcased. "Kadai paneer, daal makhni, chole, shahi paneer, all these items are the specialty of Punjab. Especially Maake ki roti and sarso ka saag are very much in demand because of the winter season. We have named this stall as "Feel in Punjab", so that even if you are living in Delhi, you can taste the authentic food of Punjab. The Amritsari Kulcha is very famous in Punjab and when we try our best to maintain the authenticity of the food", said Nitin Gupta the owner of the 'Feel in Punjab' stall. Apart from traditional food items, street food was also in great demand. Stalls like Chai Point was one of the most visited. "I would say it's a good footfall, nice people; people who enjoy chai (tea) real India is here, a lot of youngsters are walking in for chai in our store, so in terms of brand visibility it's a great amount of recall, we are happy to be here", 'Chai point" stall owner Shashank shared with ANI. Homie, a visitor at the festival, said "The stalls over here are very mouth watering and I am a big foodie so I am always excited about this food festival that's why I mostly volunteer in the food festival. The stalls for Amritsari Kulcha and Thali and Mithaiwala are available over here. I find the food really amazing over here, specially the Ram Ladoo and Chole Bhatore! The food is worth trying over here." (ANI)
