New Delhi [India], November 12 (ANI): Bahujan Samaj Party MP Danish Ali has questioned Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's memory after the lawmaker claimed that the incidents of blast used to take place every day in the country till 2009-10.
Talking to ANI, Danish Ali took a swipe at Assam CM, saying that either the BJP leader has lost "his memory or is deliberately saying such things".
"Either his memory is weak or he is deliberately saying such things...A terrorist attack on Parliament happened when the BJP was the ruling government and Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister while LK Advani was the Home Minister. They (BJP) have no clue about the history or geography," Danish Ali said on Sunday.
Earlier, in a public rally in Narmadapuram of Madhya Pradesh, the Assam CM alleged that "if Congress had taught Pakistan a lesson, thousands of lives would have been saved".
"...Till 2009-10, blasts used to happen every day in the country...Attacks used to happen in Mumbai and Parliament. Was there no army during that time?...If Congress had taught Pakistan a lesson, thousands of lives would have been saved...PM Modi came to power and we targeted Pakistan twice..." he said.
The deadly terror attack on the Indian Parliament, 22 years back shook the country.
In the tragic incident, nine people were killed and 18 were injured, including six Delhi police and two Parliament security officials.
Five terrorists from the Pakistan-based terrorist organizations on December 13, 2001, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed penetrated the premises of Parliament in a white Ambassador with bogus Home Ministry stickers. (ANI)
