Telugu comedian Ali joins YSRCP

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Mar 11 (ANI): Popular Telugu comedian Ali joined YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Monday in the presence of party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Mar 11 (ANI): Popular Telugu comedian Ali joined YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Monday in the presence of party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Earlier, Ali had expressed his wish to enter mainstream politics. Although he is stated to be close to popular actor Pawan Kalyan, the founder and president of Jana Sena Party (JSP), Ali did not launch his political career with Kalyan and joined YSR Congress Party instead.
Ali has been in Telugu Film Industry for 40 years. Being from the film industry, he was associated with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in various activities. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu also met Ali at his residence on January 20. Naidu attended the felicitation programme of Ali for completing 40 years in the Telugu Film Industry at Vijayawada. However, Ali did not even join TDP.
Ali had met Jaganmohan Reddy during his Praja Sankalp Yatra in Srikakulam this January.  The popular comedian explicitly said that he will not be contesting elections but will campaign for the party. He called Jaganmohan Reddy as a leader with commitment and his rule is the dream of lakhs of Telugu people. (ANI)
