Telangana to commence budget session today; Union Budget a big zero, says BRS leader K T Rama Rao

With the Union Budget to be presented today at Parliament by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharama, the Telangana Government will also be commencing their budget session at the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.

New Delhi [India], July 23 (ANI): The Telangana Legislature is set to commence on Tuesday with the State;s annual Budget to be presented on July 25.
Governor CP Radhakrishnan has summoned the third session of the third legislative assembly today.
The budget session will begin on the same day when Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the first full budget of the third term of the NDA Government.
The annual state budget will be presented on Thursday, according to the Chief Financial Secretary of Telangana, K Ramakrishna Rao.
A meeting with senior officials was also held on Saturday, July 20, by Telangana Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari in relation to the budget session.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who is also the Finance Minister, will present the full-fledged budget for the current financial year on July 25.
Speaking on the union budget that will be presented today, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi, K T Rama Rao, took to X, saying that the budget is a big zero.
"A journalist asked me this morning about my expectations for Telangana from Union Budget...Told him that we will get the same thing that we got for last 10 years...A Big Zero," he said.
Earlier today, the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in Parliament to approve the Union Budget ahead of its presentation by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
PM Modi arrived in Parliament this morning to attend the cabinet meeting.
On Monday, PM Modi said the Economic Survey highlighted the prevailing strengths of the economy and identified areas for further growth and progress as the government "moves towards building a Viksit Bharat." (ANI)
