Telangana releases Rs. 5,755 crore for farming sector

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 13 (ANI): Telangana Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Rao on Tuesday said Rs. 5,755 crore have been released for the farming sector for 2017-18 and Rs. 4,000 crore for loan waving alone.

Telangana releases Rs. 5,755 crore for farming sector
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 13 (ANI): Telangana Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Rao on Tuesday said Rs. 5,755 crore have been released for the farming sector for 2017-18 and Rs. 4,000 crore for loan waving alone. Rao held a press meet in Hyderabad where he spoke about the government's policies for farmers in the state. He also said, as weather forecast hints at good rains, the government is expecting 91 lakh tons of food grains to be produced. The government also allowed Rs. 139 crore for seed supply. (ANI)
