Telangana: Judicial officers call off agitation, resume duties
Hyderabad, July 6 (ANI): In Telangana, the judicial officers have called off their 10 day agitation and have decided to resume their duties from today, following appeals from the Chief Justice of India, acting Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court and the Governor. The judicial officers of lower courts and judicial employees stayed away from work and were agitating against the allotment of Andhra Pradesh origin judges to Telangana judicial cadre. The judges in lower courts in Telangana were seeking revocation of postings given to Andhra origin judges in Telangana district courts. They found several faults with judicial cadre division among Andhra and Telangana. The High Court administration earlier suspended 11 judicial officers working in various Telangana district courts for their participation in agitation. (ANI)
