Telangana: BJP candidate from Nizamabad, Arvind Dharmapuri says "We are riding a wave" after casting his vote

BJP MP and candidate from Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency, Arvind Dharmapuri who cast his vote in Kakatiya school in Nizamabad appealed to everyone to increase voter turnout and claimed they were "riding a wave".

Nizamabad (Telangana) [India], May 13 (ANI): BJP MP and candidate from Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency, Arvind Dharmapuri who cast his vote in Kakatiya school in Nizamabad appealed to everyone to increase voter turnout and claimed the BJP was "riding a wave".
"Today, it seems that we are riding a wave. I appeal to everyone and step up, vote and increase voter turnout. This is the biggest festival of democracy, participate in it and encourage others to participate too," said Dharmapuri.
Ahead of this Dharmapuri also offered prayers at a local temple. Congress has pitched Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy against Dharmapuri.
Meanwhile, Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao cast his vote in Chintamadaka village in his native Siddipet district. Chintamadaka village of Siddipet district lies under Medak Lok Sabha constituency. There are 2300 voters in Chintamadaka village.
Former BRS minister KT Rama Rao also cast his vote saying that his party was hoping to win more than 11 of the 17 seats.
"We are very confident and hopeful as well. Our best tally was 11 and this time we are hoping for more. The big man who cheated India 10 years ago has been completely outed and people have realised their mistake. The small man here in Telangana who cheated us five months ago has also been outed... Prime Minister has been campaigning across the country but he has been dishing out step-motherly treatment to Telangana with no Central university, no hospital given in 10 years..." he said.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen candidate from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi, cast his vote at a polling booth in Hyderabad and said that every opponent in the elections should be taken "seriously."
Voting for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in 96 Parliamentary Constituencies across nine states and one Union Territory got underway on Monday at 7:00 am.
Polling for all 175 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh and 28 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Odisha also started simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls.
Of the 96 Lok Sabha seats, 25 are from Andhra Pradesh, 17 from Telangana, 13 from Uttar Pradesh, 11 from Maharashtra, eight each from Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, five from Bihar, four each from Jharkhand and Odisha, and one from Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the poll body, a total of 4,264 nominations were filed for 96 parliamentary constituencies across.
Polling for all 175 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh and 28 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Odisha also started simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls.
So far, till phase 3 of the Lok Sabha polls, polling has concluded smoothly and peacefully in 283 Lok Sabha seats. (ANI)
