"Technology, Transparency, Timeline": Amit Shah assures change in judicial system, slams Mamata Banerjee

Siliguri (West Bengal) [India] August 21 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that the judicial system will be transformed with "three Ts: Technology, Transparency and Timeline."
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration of the exhibition on the three new criminal laws in Siliguri, West Bengal, Shah launched an attack against former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of taking no action against crime in the state.
Highlighting a delay in the judicial system, Shah said, "There are several such matters: justice was not done in the anti-Sikh riots case even after three decades; it took 26 years (for justice) in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, 10 years (for justice) in the Nanoor massacre case and 32 years (for justice) in the Ajmer gang rape case. Now, with three Ts, the entire judicial system is going to change: Technology, Transparency and Timeline."
Shah assured the people of establishing the rule of law in the state under the BJP government.
He alleged, "This state used to resonate with Rabindra Sangeet. But during the Mamata Banerjee government, this state used to fear bomb blasts; acid attacks never stopped, be it the barbarism at RG Kar Medical College or the pain of Sandeshkhali, rape at Durgapur Medical College or molestation at South Calcutta Law College - no action used to be taken. I am confident that with the change in government, laws are changing as well. Rule of law will once again be ensured in Bengal, after 15 years now."
He also alleged that Mamata Banerjee, as the CM, did not issue notifications for the implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).
Shah said, "Across the country, the process of implementing these new laws has already begun. But the then West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee did not issue the notifications. This was because, as soon as the new laws are implemented, syndicate, cut money, toll tax, and the atmosphere of fear will be shattered into pieces. In the Bengal elections, BJP had promised the public - trust us, and we will give you 'Bhay ki nahi bharose ki sarkar'."
"When Suvendu Adhikari filed his first sign after taking charge, it was about implementation of Nyay Sanhita and removing the British law from here," he added. (ANI)
