Sushil Chandra joins as new chief of Central Board of Direct Taxes

New Delhi [India], Nov. 1 (ANI): Sushil Chandra, a 1980 batch officer of Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax cadre), today joined as Chairperson of Central Board of Direct Taxes(CBDT).

Sushil Chandra joins as new chief of Central Board of Direct Taxes
New Delhi [India], Nov. 1 (ANI): Sushil Chandra, a 1980 batch officer of Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax cadre), today joined as Chairperson of Central Board of Direct Taxes(CBDT). He has replaced Rani Singh Nair, who retired this month-end. Chandra was member of investigation in CBDT since December, 2015. In his career in the Income Tax Department, he has handled many prestigious assignments like the Principal Chief Commissioner and Director General of Income Tax at Ahmedabad, Commissioner of Income Tax (Central) and Director of Income Tax (Investigation) at Mumbai among others. According to sources, IIT graduate Chandra's tenure will last till May next year. (ANI)
