Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], July 19 (ANI): AAP Haryana unit president Sushil Gupta on Friday announced that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal will visit Panchkula on Saturday.
"Sunita Kejriwal will launch Arvind Kejriwal's guarantees. The town hall will be organised at 1 pm in Panchkula's Indradhanush Auditorium. Some of the notable figures will come to attend the event. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and Sandeep Pathak will be a part of the event. All the AAP leaders in Haryana will attend the event," said Gupta.
He further lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that they have been cheating on people since the last ten years.
Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming assembly polls, Sushil Gupta, said that the people of the state want Arvind Kejriwal and are looking for 24-hour electricity and water supply, as in Delhi.
Speaking about the preparations for the upcoming assembly polls in the state, Gupta told ANI, "The Aam Aadmi Party is preparing for 90 assembly seats, preparations are going on at every booth. The people of Haryana want Arvind Kejriwal...".
Gupta added, "Every person wants Haryana to get 24-hour electricity and water like Delhi and Punjab. Every person should get employment, and drug abuse and crime should be curbed. Haryana needs change..."
On Thursday at a press conference, the Aam Aadmi Party announced that it will be contesting the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana on its own. The AAP contested one seat in Haryana in the recent Lok Sabha election in alliance with the Congress.
Notably, Haryana is one of the eight states that will be holding legislative assembly elections this year.
Currently, the state is ruled by a coalition government formed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP).
The Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 are expected to take place on or before October 2024, as the current Assembly's tenure is set to end on November 3 this year. However, the election schedule is yet to be announced. (ANI)
