Sukma: Three jawans injured in IED blast by Naxals

Bastar (Chhattisgarh) [India] Aug 15 (ANI): At least three jawans were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast by Naxals in Sukma district on Tuesday.

Sukma: Three jawans injured in IED blast by Naxals
Bastar (Chhattisgarh) [India] Aug 15 (ANI): At least three jawans were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast by Naxals in Sukma district on Tuesday. The security personnel were returning back from an Independence Day function when the blast took place. Speaking to ANI, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Sundarraj said, "Our team had gone to several districts at Sukma area for operation. One personnel who was seriously injured is out of danger now, while two other personnel who were also wounded have been given immediate treatment". No casualties have been reported in the blast so far. Earlier in the day, a joint team of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and District Force had organised a flag hoisting programme at Koracha village to celebrate Independence Day with the villagers.
