Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) [India], November 18 (ANI): BJP National President JP Nadda on Friday urged voters to vote against Ashok Gehlot and stop him from coming to power again. Nadda alleged that the Gehlot government allegedly stopped the Centre's housing scheme from reaching the people of Rajasthan, depriving them of nine lakh houses that would have been allotted.
Nadda was addressing a press conference in Jaisalmer as he attacked the Gehlot-led state government in Rajasthan.
"The Ashok Gehlot government stopped nine lakh houses from reaching you...Now you stop him on the 25th...20 lakh houses will get ready...If you make our government come to power, farmers will get Rs 12,000 per year. Under Ayushman Bharat now you will be getting ten lakh instead of five lakh," said Gehlot.
"Wherever Congress rules, there would be corruption, wherever the Congress government rules, there will be atrocities, loot, scam...Wherever BJP rules, there will be development, progress," he added.
Another star campaigner of BJP, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing a public meeting in poll-bound Rajasthan, said on Saturday that these assembly elections are really important for Rajasthan in order to reach the pinnacles of development where the nation today, as a whole, stands.
"These assembly elections of Rajasthan are important because when the whole nation can be seen reaching the new pinnacles of development, why the state of Rajasthan which has always held a strong position against the enemies (of the nation) be left out in this development process," said CM Yogi.
CM Yogi, during his speech, stressed that even Rajasthan should get a fair opportunity for development, and a government that has a developmental mindset must come to power in the state.
"For the last five years, Rajasthan has been feeling a lack of such a government and such representatives of the people," added Yogi.
Rajasthan will undergo legislative assembly polls on November 25 while the counting of votes, along with four other poll-bound states, will be on December 3. (ANI)
