New Delhi [India], August 2 (ANI): Reacting to the Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's statement that he will be waiting for ED with "open arms," Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Friday said that it is the country's "misfortune" that Rahul Gandhi is LoP, adding that the latter is "spreading disinformation."
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi claimed on Friday that the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) was planning a raid on him following his 'Chakravtyuh' speech in the parliament on July 29.
"I believe that it is the country's misfortune that Rahul Gandhi is LoP. Along with lying inside the Parliament, he is also spreading disinformation outside...he is ashamed, he asks about the caste of the whole world," Giriraj Singh told ANI.
Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar said that he would be arrested if there are corruption charges against him.
"He is already on bail, if the bail is canceled he will be arrested anyway. If there are corruption charges against him he will be arrested, if there is no corruption then nothing will happen," Majumdar said.

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma also reacted to Rahul Gandhi's remarks and said that the public does not take his words seriously.
"He (Rahul Gandhi) is restless these days, he has told so many lies, and spread so many rumors, that is why he is restless. He could not reach Wayanad for 3-4 days, now when he has reached there, it is natural for him to be restless... He is sinful, that is why he tweets whatever comes to his mind. The public does not take his words seriously," he said.

The Congress MP said that he was "waiting with open arms" after ED "insiders" told him that a raid was being planned.
In a post on X, Rahul Gandhi said, "Apparently, 2 in 1 didn't like my Chakravyuh speech. ED 'insiders' tell me a raid is being planned. Waiting with open arms, @dir_ed. Chai and biscuits on me."
This comes after Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking on the Union Budget 2024 in the Lok Sabha on July 29. He said farmers, workers, and youngsters of the nation are terrified
He criticized PM Modi for prominently displaying the lotus symbol and claimed that a new 'Chakravyuh' had been created in the 21st century.
The budget session of Parliament began on July 22 and, according to schedule, will end on August 12. (ANI)
