SP, Congress standing out as 'Ram Vidrohis': UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya

"SP and Congress are standing out as 'Ram Vidrohis'. They denied the invitation to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. What does this show? They paid tribute to Mafia Mukhtar Ansari for the vote bank. Their thoughts are clear. They can never stay away from appeasement politics," he said.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 20 (ANI): Amidst political turmoil and the heat of the electoral battles, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya took a hit at the opposition parties, calling them 'Ram Vidrohis' for rejecting invitations to the Shri Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha and accusing them of appeasement politics.
Asked about the opposition's claims that the BJP is making the Ram Temple a political issue, KP Maurya said, "The BJP's path is very clear. We will never engage in appeasement politics. The BJP has never made the Ram Temple a political issue."
When asked about the opposition's claims that the BJP operates a "Jhut ka Bazar" (market of lies), the Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM said, "The public can see clearly who is lying. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh Yadav claimed to win more than 60 seats, but they got only 5 seats. This has been repeated many times. 4 times, the public has defeated them. In 2024, this will also repeat because the public does not go with goons and mafias."
"The public is very wise, it remains with someone who works for Viksit Bharat, who works for Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas, who works for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, and who works for the security, welfare, and development of the country," said Maurya.
The Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh are being conducted in seven phases. The first four phases have already concluded.
The fifth phase will take place in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh on May 20.
These include Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Raebareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj, and Gonda.
Additionally, a by-election will be held in the Lucknow East Assembly constituency.
The remaining Lok Sabha seats will go to the polls on May 25 and June 1. The votes will be counted on June 4. (ANI)
