Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 19 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday criticised the Samajwadi Party and Congress and labelled them as 'Ram vidrohi' for declining the invitation to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
"SP and Congress are standing out as 'Ram vidrohi'. They declined the invitation to Pran Pratishtha ceremony. What does this show? They paid tribute to the mafia Mukhtar Ansari. Their thoughts are clear, they can never stay away from appeasement politics. BJP's path is clear, we will never do appeasement politics. BJP never made Ram Temple a political issue," he told ANI.
Maurya expressed confidence that the BJP and its allies are poised to win the 2024 Lok Sabha election, leading to the re-election of the current Prime Minister. He emphasized that the nation stands with the Prime Minister.
"Our analysis is the same as it was before and the result will also come in the same way on June 4...BJP and its alliance are going to win...Once again PM will become Prime Minister. The nation is standing with him," he told ANI.
He also predicted a loss for Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party in the Lok Sabha election, citing public disapproval of those who support goons and mafias.
"Who is lying, the public can see this very well...In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections Akhilesh Yadav claimed to win more than 60 seats, but they got only 5 seats...This repeated many times...4 times public has defeated them...In 2024 also this will repeat because the public does not go with goons and mafias," he told ANI.
The Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh are being conducted in seven phases. The first four phases have already concluded.
The fifth phase will take place in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of Uttar Pradesh on May 20. These include Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Raebareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj, and Gonda. Additionally, a by-election will be held in the Lucknow East Assembly constituency.
The remaining Lok Sabha seats will go to polls on May 25 and June 1. The votes will be counted on June 4. (ANI)
