Sonia Gandhi has lot of experience, will benefit Congress: Bhupesh Baghel after she is re-elected CPP chairperson

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed happiness on Congress leader Sonia Gandhi being re-elected as the Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) on Saturday. He said that she has a lot of experience which will benefit the Congress party.

New Delhi [India], June 8 (ANI): Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed happiness at Congress leader Sonia Gandhi being re-elected as chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) on Saturday. He said that she has a lot of experience which will benefit the Congress party.
Baghel said, "It is a matter of great happiness. She (Sonia Gandhi) has a lot of experience which will benefit the party and the parliamentary party."
Reacting to reports that Congress will make Rahul Gandhi the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha he said that the decision has been taken after consensus.
Earlier in the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) meeting held at the Central Hall of Parliament, Sonia Gandhi was re-elected as the Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party."It is good she (Sonia Gandhi) has been re-elected as CPP and she will keep guiding us," Kharge told ANI.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge proposed the name of Sonia Gandhi for the post of chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party in the CPP meeting.
Congress leader KC Venugopal also said that the CPP unanimously elected Sonia Gandhi as the CPP chairperson. Now CPP chairperson has to nominate floor leaders of Lok Sabha.
The CWC passed the resolution that party MP Rahul Gandhi should be appointed as the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, sources said on Saturday. The CWC resolution praised Rahul Gandhi for his efforts in the election campaign. The meeting was attended by Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Manish Tiwari, DK Shivakumar, and Revanth Reddy, among others.
