New Delhi [India], Dec.7 (ANI): Sikh Dharma International from United States has initiated Raj Khalsa Yatra of 120 people from all over the US and Canada to gurudwara Sri Patna Sahib. The Raj Khalsa Yatra will celebrate 350th birth anniversary of 10th guru of Sikh community, Guru Gobind Singh Ji in Patna. On January 5, 2017, Sikhs of Sikh Dharma International will join people from the community in India with joy and devotion to honour this great occasion at Sri Patna Sahib. They will start their journey from the Golden Temple on January 2, 2017, Amritsar post celebrating New Year in the golden city. Encouraging the yatra, Sri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan had said, "Yatra is a holy journey. We must go into the center, the heart center. It is a journey on earth to one's "Isht"- one's higher self, one's altar. It is a self-purification. So, we go from here to designated holy places & we have no other work but to get up in the morning to meditate, to go to these beautiful surroundings. Sometimes our mind hassles us, but we do conquer it. This is the purpose of Yatra." Travelling to Patna Sahib - the birth place of Guru Gobind Singh ji, Sikh Dharma International will take part in all the festivities for the 350th year celebration of his birth. With great joy and devotion, the participants of Raj Khalsa Yatra will also spend time visiting the holy places where Guruji lived and spent time during his early childhood. The Raj Khalsa Yatra will be guided by the leadership team of Sikh Dharma International. It has carried forward the mission of Sikh Dharma since the passing of the Siri Singh Sahib ji. They are: Bibi Inderjit Kaur, Bhai Sahiba (Chief Religious Authority) of Sikh Dharma and the wife of the late Yogi Bhajan; Sardarni Guru Amrit Kaur Khalsa, Siri Sikdar Sahiba (Chief Administrative Authority of Sikh Dharma); Singh Sahib Gurujodha Singh Khalsa, President of the Siri Singh Sahib Corporation; Dr. Harjot Kaur Singh, Chairperson of the International Khalsa Council; Singh Sahib Kirtan Singh Khalsa, President of Sikh Dharma International.
