Should bullets fired by terrorists and stones defending them treated differently?: BJP
New Delhi, [India], Feb. 17 (ANI): Condemning statements made by the Congress in response to Army Chief Bipin Rawat's remarks on stone-pelters in the Kashmir valley, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) questioned whether the bullets fired by the terrorists and the stones defending them must be treated differently. "Should the youth who throws stones at the army in support of the terrorists be treated differently than the bullets fired by the terrorist?" asked BJP leader Shanawaz Hussain. "It is disappointing that the Congress is opposing a statement made by army chief that urges the Kashmiri people to not come out in support of the terrorists," he added. Reiterating the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Rakesh Sinha said that the political parties in Delhi support terrorist under the blanket of Human Rights. "Army officials in Jammu and Kashmir are being killed only because of political reasons and the political parties in Delhi are supporting terrorists in the name of Human Rights," said Sinha. "This expression of anger and disappointment by the army chief will be supported by the whole country," he added. Taking a dig at Congress's remarks, Sinha mentioned that there is nothing that is more important for the former than power. "The people who are making such statements about the army chief must take a look at themselves in the mirror these are the people who want to break the nation. There is nothing that is more important for the Congress than power. A family that is engulfed in family disputes cannot be expected to practice nationalism," said he. Army Chief, Bipin Rawat on Wednesday said that Kashmiris supporting the terrorist would be considered as anti-national and they will not be spared. The Congress dubbed the statement as 'tragic' and warned that such moves will only eliminate the youth of Kashmir. (ANI)
