"Sheikh Shahjahan will definitely be punished but what punishment West Bengal CM will get...": BJP leader Agnimitra Paul

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Agnimitra Paul on Friday said that Sheikh Shahjahan will definitely be punished for his actions but "what punishment will be given to West Bengal Chief Minister" Mamata Banerjee as she was aware of the acts being committed by TMC leader in Sandeshkhali.

Medinipur (West Bengal) [India], March 29 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party leader Agnimitra Paul on Friday said that Sheikh Shahjahan will definitely be punished for his actions but "what punishment will be given to West Bengal Chief Minister" Mamata Banerjee as she was aware of the acts being committed by TMC leader in Sandeshkhali.
"Criminals like Sheikh Shahjahan will be punished for sure but I would like to ask what punishment will be given to the CM who keeps motivating for these exploitations by remaining silent?" Agnimitra Paul told ANI.
On the death of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, Paul said that he was not in society for good deeds.
"He had 60 cases against him out of which he was a convicted criminal in 8 cases. Be it criminal or anyone, everyone deserves justice and I believe that everyone will get justice under CM Yogi Adityanath," she said.
The last rites of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari will be performed on Saturday, said his elder brother Sibgatullah Ansari.
Earlier in the day, the body of Mukhtar Ansari was taken from Banda to Ghazipur after the completion of the post-mortem at Banda Medical College and Hospital.
Jailed Ansari died in a hospital in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a three-member team will conduct a magisterial investigation into the death of Ansari.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate Banda issued orders concerning the judicial probe. Officials said a panel of two doctors will do the post-mortem, which will be done by a done by a videographer. (ANI)
