Sharmishta Mukherjee complaints of receiving obscene messages on FB
New Delhi, Aug 13 (ANI): Congress leader Sharmistha Mukherjee on Saturday said that she received obscene messages in her Facebook account. Speaking to ANI, Mukherjee said that the police should look into the matter not because she is the daughter of President Pranab Mukherjee, but as an individual woman. "I received nasty and sexual messages on my Facebook. Initially I thought I should ignore, but I thought this was not enough. So, I decided to publically humiliate and expose him using the same platform," she said. "If I complain being the President's daughter, the police might take action for this particular case. But they should take action because I am a woman and not because the President's daughter," she added. When asked about her next course of action, she said: "I will definitely complain to the cyber cell. However, I would like to clarify that it is not just me, but there are thousands of women who are facing such problems." (ANI)
